In Belfast I trained to City & Guilds advanced level silversmithing before moving to London and completing a 3 dimensional BA design course at the Central School of Art & Design.

My work revolves around the art and craft of silversmithing with functionalism being paramount. It is within this context that I design and make contemporary silverware that is both functional and original. The natural outer skin of an orange best describes the textural finish used on my ‘Orange’ pieces. This finish is created using hammer chasing, but its functionalism is in the texture’s ability to minimize handling impressions, as such texturing has both the ability to be functional and decorative.

This website displays a variety of my silversmithing plus some drawings and designs, it covers a period from the mid sixties to the present day. I am a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and my silverware can be viewed at exhibition or commissioned privately.
